Originally this was my Duel Commander version. Also known as French Commander. You start at 30 life, it has a ban list, and it follows Paris Mulligan rules. Super fun 1v1 format.

However, it does a good job in smaller pods (3 players). I am working through how to modify it specifically for regular 4-person EDH, and that's a work in progress. I would want to cut things like the hand disruption, since that's not typically awesome in EDH. But the goal would be to be the political pest with this deck, not necessarily to win.

The thought is simple: Get dorks, T2 Anafenza. Start swinging and pumping dorks. Get some land attacking in there to try and curtail the opponent doing other stuff. Get some other disruption in there to keep the opponent from doing stuff. Exploit +1/+1 counter buffs from Abzan and a few others from MTG history to get some trample and other types of damage to stay alive.

This deck is sort of a hybrid of a few Junk decks, combined with some conversations I've seen on mtg salvation. It is not perfect, mostly because I'm missing a second Armageddon (Ravages of War), which is kind of key. I'm just reluctant to buy one since land destruction is such a hated mechanic. Anything else really expensive is probably easily substitutable, but for the mana base double check against Tainted Pact because it relies on the deck being truly a singleton deck including basic lands. Tainted Pact also requires you to really really know the list.
