Hi guys, I am trying to create an Eldrazi Angel deck because I like the theme very much. Suggestion are very much appreciated since I really want to complete this deck, make it work, bring their potential as high as possible. Thanks!
The Idea of the deck was to grind mana using Urza's land and secure early game using Thought-Knot Seer and Eldrazi Displacer. Weathered Wayfarer is used in this deck because of Path to Exile to search any land which most likely be Urza's Tower.
For the Angels, most of them are high-cost creatures so we need a decent token-clearing angels which is Archangel Avacyn
and also good for the indestructable. I am thinking of exchanging this with Avacyn, Angel of Hope since it will protect our Iona, Shield of Emeria from getting destroyed. Since we will have a lot of mana in the late game, Entreat the Angels is OP especially if you draw as miracle in the late game. Without getting countered, comboed with avacyn's indestructible if you use Avacyn, Angel of Hope, it is pretty much game ending. However Avacyn, Angel of Hope is 8-drop while Archangel Avacyn
is a 5 drop so right now I am using the cheaper one since I am not sure how it will go.
Instants are quite usual in Boros Deck. Lightning Bolt,Lightning Helix, and Path to Exile should be enough to cover until turn 4-5 where our urza's set is completed for Thought-Knot Seer and Eldrazi Displacer combo, or about turn 6 to have 3 white plus urza's set to call Iona, Shield of Emeria which is OP in fighting Mono decks. Depending on the enemy, Iona, Shield of Emeria can be substituted to other angels or eldrazis. like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. Also, Akroma's Memorial can make your big girls or monster to be flying haste and trample which is frightening, especially when you see an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger with haste and fly.
I think the biggest weakness of this deck is Early Burn decks and heavy control blue deck since we almost not run any counter. In fighting Blue deck, we will just rely on Nahiri, the Harbinger and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn to board wipe them so hard.
Well, if you want to be annoying, adding Platinum Angel is the way to stall for the big girls or tentacles!
I can say that this deck is nowhere near good right now so I really appreciate input and suggestion which helps me complete the deck. As long as its main theme is Angel + Eldrazi, I am really excited to hear from you guys! Thanks!
