This deck is very much a work in progress. It plays by using disruption cards like Despise, Inquisition of Kozilek, and Duress to force opponent to discard what you want them to, and then follows up with Extirpate or Surgical Extraction to eliminate the rest of the playset. For protection, use Countersquall and/or Vapor Snag to further damage your opponent while interfering with their creatures/ combo cards (bounce spells also work great with the disruption cards). Remand for draws. Delver of Secrets, Vampire Nighthawk, Hypnotic Specter are the primary damagers in this deck for effective, consistent damage (and hopefully further discards as well). Finally, the enchantment Liliana's Caress combos well with all the discard spells this deck has to offer to damage your opponent while you weaken their hand. It's the anti-combo combo!
Since this deck is highly defensive to begin with, the sideboard is mainly for swapping in additional copies of what's already in the main board, with Clutch of the Undercity adding to my damaging counterspells, as well as being able to transmute for Circu, Dimir Labotomist, and Graffdigger's Cage to help deal with high-powered creatures.
I'm still having trouble with the land base. I will eventually try to get more fetches, but I also fear that too much fetching/shocking could be really detrimental to this deck, since it already plays Thoughtseize and will occasionally use Surgical Extraction for the alternate cost of two life. Suggestions in this vein would be highly appreciated.
As a humorous side-note, the original version of this deck also splashed red for a few burn spells, but I decided Dimir was duly deserved for additional alliterative appellation (plus, the added abbreviated title "D6" was just too perfect for any roll player to pass up).
Suggestions are greatly appreciated, particularly when it comes the the land base for this deck.
