Athreos is one of my favorite gods from Journey, and its looking to be a great god with plenty of interesting interactions, especially with additional sac effects and a general aggro shell being built around him.
This deck is comparable to the 'Aristocrats' deck of Innistrad standard, with a focus of getting maximum card advantage from creatures and turning Sac effects into a benefit.
I'll go over the spells here:
Athreos, God of Passage : Super important! He's the glue that holds this deck together. Being an on-curve creature late to mid game helps a lot too. His main goal however, is to provide a mean choice. Opponents can take a bolt to the face, or they can allow me to take a creature back from my grave, and due to the low mana curve, i'll likely be able to cast it again. Against removal, Athreos provides hard card disadvantage, either adding 'Take three damage' to every kill spell, or just making me pay an extra few mana for a creature.
Cartel Aristocrat : First things first, it's an efficient beater in hybrid colors with a sick hat. Not many magic cards can boast that! Also, it has a way of protecting itself, which is already pretty sick. Finally, its ability to protect itself requires no mana. While it does require you sac a creature, due to the swarm-y nature of the deck, that's a small cost for an incredibly versatile ability. This card was an all star in the original Aristocrats deck, its shaping up to be one here too. Also has incredible synergy with Athreos, God of Passage, Xathrid Necromancer, and more!
Gnarled Scarhide
: Is a Savannah Lion with a drawback. Now, you might be thinking, 'Why wouldn't you play cackler in this slot? Isn't he the strictly better option?' And the answer is, yes, he is the better option when it comes to power, but Scarhide isn't a dead card later on in the game. Through Bestowing him, I can prevent an opponents creature from chumpblocking, which matters quite a bit. Or, I can put it on my own creatures for the extra powerboost needed!
Tormented Hero
: Another Drawbacktastical Savannah Lion. He's an efficient beater, and sometimes he pings the opponent. I can dig it. Who cares about him coming into pay tapped?
Soldier of the Pantheon: Savannah Lion with an upside. Pro multicolored, which keeps him from being stomped by certain tricolor midrange decks. -.- The gaining one life can help us against hyperaggressive aggro matches.
Dryad Militant: Lion. Upside. Yes.
launch the fleets: Can completely blow out the game later on, with the benefit of some synergy with Xathrid Necromancer Yeah. Board wipe me bitch. Come on.
Boros Elite
: One drop human, is pretty much a 3/3.
Xathrid Necromancer: More gas for the grill, bro ! All the humans in the deck (Even the tokens!) Come back as even more tokens! Some even more powerful than they were before! At worst, it's a 4/4 spread between two creatures, which isn't optimal, but not too bad.
Spear of Heliod : It's an anthem with an effect to remove problem creatures.
Nyxborn Shieldmate
: An above the curve human that can bestow for additional benefits.
Gods Willing : Protection against big spooks and blocking mobs. Scrying is cool too.
Sideboard is enchantment hate, aggro hate, midrange hate, and just general hate hate hate.
