Summary:

This swift, aggressive deck's gameplay is simple: combine Hardened Scales and Abzan Falconer with +1/+1 counter synergies to summon large, formidable Flying creatures.

Creature Spells:

All of the deck's creatures either enter the battlefield with +1/+1 counters or can gain them very quickly. They interact with Avatar of the Resolute's enter the battlefield effect resulting in a huge threat. In addition to Trample, it also has Reach which is easily overlooked by opponents. With a casting cost of only 2 green mana, Avatar of the Resolute is a stand out creature in the deck. Not far behind is another Trampler, Managorger Hydra. It demands an immediate answer or else it grows out of control. A Hardened Scales on the battlefield means Managorger Hydra is out of reach of most damage based removal effects. Abzan Falconer gives most, if not all, of the deck's creatures the invaluable evasion of Flying. Often a 2/2 or even a 3/3 for 1 green mana, Servant of the Scale serves mainly as a trigger for Avatar of the Resolute and as a decent blocker with the upside of keeping it's counters on the battlefield. Ugin's Conjurant is at the very least an efficently costed creature that can be played on any turn. It benefits from Hardened Scales, Abzan Falconer, and helps set up Avatar of the Resolute. Hangarback Walker is an ever-growing, token-producing threat that fits well in this deck.

Non-Creature Spells:

The deck is centered around the enchantment Hardened Scales. Though not necessary to create a win condition, the extra counters it provides rapidly accelerates the deck's win condition. Dromoka's Command is very versatile. It's 4 modes can disarm spells with damage based effects, remove a creature or enchantment, or contributes to the +1/+1 counter synergy. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar has great synergy with Hardened Scales. Putting two or more counters on each creature in a single turn drastically accelerates the deck's win condition. Valorous Stance provides main deck removal. It can also be used to destroy a Hangarback Walker if you need flying creatures to break a stalemate on the ground.

Land:

This two color deck has a simple mana base using Temple Garden and Sunpetal Grove as color fixing.

Sideboard:

Silkwrap exiles low CMC threats. Hallowed Moonlight negates Collected Company and re-animation/graveyard strategies. Fumigate will clear the battlefield against Aggro, Tokens, or Elves and provide lifegain. Inspiring Call provides draw and indestructibility to keep the deck's creatures on the battlefield against control decks. Natural State destroys a variety dangerous enchantments or artifacts. Sorcerous Spyglass has dual propose; it shuts down troublesome activated abilities and checking an opponent's hand for removal or counterspells. Banishing Light is catch-all removal for any permanent that cannot otherwise be removed.
