The purpose of the deck is to either mill opponents or deal lethal non combat damage to them. This is done by landing Arjun, the Shifting Flame or Mindmoil, Alhammarret's Archive or Thought Relfection, and a win con of your choice. When you cast a spell, Arjun/Mindmoil triggers before the spell resolves and tucks the remaining cards on the bottom of your library and then you draw that many cards. Archive and Reflection double the amount of cards drawn and gives that many more triggers to Jace's Erasure/Sphinx's Tutelage or Psychosis Crawler. Other wincons include Spiraling Embers and Master the Way to deal damage equal to your cards in hand.

Spellbook effects have been left out of the deck. When you essentially double your hand size with every spell cast, you run the risk of decking yourself. Feldon's Cane effects help when you feel you need to dump a large hand at the end of your turn. Psychic Spiral shuffles your graveyard back in, with the added bonus of milling an opponent for that amount.

A control package is included as a deterrent for those who may want to interrupt your plans of winning.
