Wondering if I should try running more counters and less removal.....hmmmmAnd if so should I play 2cmc counters like Negate and Nullify or the 3cmc ones Dissolve, Psychic Strike and Cancel? Decisions, decisions.....

This is an Esper Control deck that I have put together after losing to many such decks. It will be a work in progress, ever changing. I would appreciate any feedback.

So, I have Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver as an early mill/creature producer providing I can keep him alive long enough to start using his -X ability.

Jace, Memory Adept is also a great addition for some later milling, if I have decided to win via mill at that point, or just a good draw option.

Also if you can combine both Ashiok's and Jace's ultimate abilities together in the same turn it's just flat out hilarious.

I also Have Elspeth, Sun's Champion Which is a great addition to the deck for the 3 blockers she drops every turn. Or she can be used as a quick board clear against green devotion decks with large creatures that manage to get past either my counters or removals. She is also a win con all by herself if I manage to keep my opponents battlefield clear until I can use her ultimate ability to make all the soldiers she's been dropping 3/3 flyers.

I have Devour Flesh , Far / Away, Hero's Downfall, Supreme Verdict , Detention Sphere and Cyclonic Rift for removal.

AEtherling is a great win con or just a great blocker.

Consuming Aberration is a good late game creature to drop onto the battlefield.

I have Psychic Strike and Dissolve as counters and as an added bonus Psychic Strike mills 2 cards

I have Sphinx's Revelation as both life gain and drawing power. This card has saved my ass more times than I can count. so the $30 price tag is well worth it for this deck.

Oh, and I almost forgot....Last but not least I threw in a Thassa, God of the Sea for the scy ability which always comes in handy as well as another win con, making my creatures unblockable, if I can either pit my opponents creatures against them with Ashiok or put Consuming Aberration into the battlefield with a lot of cards in my opponents graveyard.
