Have soft spot for zoo-type decks in modern, even if they aren't competitive or even viable anymore since the format turned into legacy with MH(2). I'm aware of the mono red goblin 8whack but goblins just don't do it for me, lol. Just got back to the game after a few years away; maybe I'll give this one a try online again and see what it can do.
Edit: Had Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer in over Kird Ape at first, but then I decided I'm just gonna leave it as a more budget-friendly list (how I used to play it). Also got rid of the Endurance and th--- okay, I just cut all the MH2 cards out of the list ;). Also dropped the 3 Boseiju, Who Endures that were in the main as well (although these would be absolutely massive.... they just add so much $$ to the list).
The red 1-drops could be Kird Ape, Goblin Guide (I'm partial to the Ape if using fetchlands), Vexing Devil, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, or even something like Monastery Swiftspear (personally don't like this one in here, tho). I have also played both Dryad Militant and Signal Pest in some numbers at certain points in the past. I also just noticed this card since I came back -- Wayward Guide-Beast -- and I think that could also be an interesting choice, esp if any landfall creatures are in your list. Haven't tested it myself, tho. I always liked the Vexing Devils, ESPECIALLY once Pelt Collector emerged, so I almost always have them in the list. I always used the 4 Devils and went back n forth between Kirds and GGs, but as I haven't played in a bit I'll have to try and find any new additions. I also have used both Rancor and Ghor-Clan Rampager in the list and I honestly usually liked the Rampager's better. Rancor is a good alternative, though, especially as it increases the # of 1-cmc green spells (less situations where you play BTE into red 1drop but have no green 1's).
Some may like Voltaic Brawler as another budget-friendly option in place of some # of Flinthoof Boar (or even Ghor-Clan Rampager). Again, I always had good results with some Rampagers in the list, but Brawler (or another good RG, 1G, or 1R aggressive creature -- perhaps even Scavenging Ooze) could work.
