My five color deck built around Atogatog. I wanted to build this for fun more so than power. I have included plenty of things for each atog to eat and run some changelings as well as some ways to turn non atog creatures into atogs all for the meal.

With the "recent" re-release of Fetch lands in Khans of Tarkir, and the Battle lands of Battle for Zendikar I decided to re-evaluate my manabase.

My original consisted of 10 shocks, 10 buddies, 5 Mirage fetches and some utility lands along with a few forests and a couple of plains. This set up allowed me to get all five colors by turns 5 or 6 with relative consistency. The problem was that during those first five turns I was always a turn or two behind doing anything else, and it really relied on my opening hand and first few draws more than actual "fixing."

I looked at decklists, crunched some numbers, ran some playtests, and then threw all that out the window by adding a Maze's End package. I did settle on a manabase with the aforementioned Fetches and Battle Lands as well as worked in some more basics, (due to the recent nonbasic hate I've been seeing lately) but wanted to have another fun Alternate Win Condition. I've won games with Myael's Aria, and Barren Glory and thought hey why not Maze's End. The inclusion of basics allowed me to run a few more land tutors so the fixing overall has improved and the ramp downplays some of the ETB tapped so I'm about where I was before though more by design then luck.

I also played around with adding back in a couple of "lords" and swapping some of the more boring or under performing cards in this list. I don't know that I'll ever settle on whether the Bringer cycle belongs in here or not. Every time I reintroduce the Bringers they absolutely do some work, then my playgroup gets wise and shuts them down before they get to do anything. I love them because 5 color is the only thing they get to play in, and they have some strong abilities, but they don't really contribute to the theme at all so ultimately after a few games they get put back on the bench.

In the end this deck will always be in the lower portion of my decks when it comes to wins, but when it does get the win, it is always in a fun and memorable way. Even when not winning, the deck is always enjoyable to play.
