DescriptionThis Aurelia, the Warleader deck is built around assembling Aurelia or possibly another large creature as Voltron. The primary wincon is doing 21 commander damage to the opponent by putting equipment on Aurelia and making use of the double combat phase. The secondary wincon is to deal fatal damage to the opposing players with the double combat phase.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Strengths are that this deck hits very hard and has a lot of protection. Aurelia can do 21 quite quickly if the opponent doesn't have a lot of removal or if they used some on the other creatures. There is also a good amount of creature and artifact removal.

• Weaknesses include poor card draw, lack of mana rocks and often no way to gain back life. Serra Ascendant is obviously huge in this regard, as is true conviction, but I don't see those consistently.

Creatures

• Any creature in this deck must either provide some kind of useful artifact utility (Stoneforge Mystic, Stonehewer Giant) or must simply be a bomb that can attack and draw in removal spells (Hellkite Charger for additional combat phases, Sun Titan to grab back useful utility creatures like Mother of Runes and for beatdown).

Board Wipes

• Board wiping is something this deck needs more of. Right now, Wrath of God and Day of Judgement are the only true board wipes, sometimes Sunblast Angel can be a real game changer too. Considering adding Planar Cleansing. Looking for other options.

Removal Suite

• Oblation and Oblivian Ring are nice, because they deal with commanders or other troubling combo pieces or enchantments. Wear / Tear has good versatility. Aura of Silence, Remember the Fallen and Return to Dust are the other Enchantment and Artifact hate cards. For creatures, Swords to Plowshares, Condemn, Path to Exile and Dispatch are the main pieces.

Card Draw

• This deck's most glaring weakness is card draw, which is why I have included some weaker cards like Sanctum Gargoyle to get more cards into my hand (also because the Swords get a ton of hate in multiplayer!). I've also considered adding Mask of Memory back because I have a lot of flyers who often get through for combat damage. The main card draw package is Staff of Nin, Skullclamp, Reforge the Soul and Dragon Mage. Wheel of Fortune will be an easy include once I find one.
