Sideboard

Do you like drawing cards? Do you like casting Sphinx's Revelation? How about tapping and untapping artifacts until the cows come home? Well then this is the deck for you. When Azor was spoiled, it didn't really hit me at first how powerful his ability was. A Sphinx's Revelation on a stick. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of mana to abuse his ability. The best way to abuse this in Azorius is to flood the board with artifacts and tap and untap them for absurd amounts of mana.

A key card in this deck is Azor's Gateway  . With all of the untap abilities in the deck, you should be able to flip this in one or two turns and win the game with the absurd amount of mana it generates. You should also only play it when you're able to flip it quickly. Don't let it sit around for too many turns! It will get blown up.

Once you have lots of mana and lots of cards in your hand, how do we win? Well, we can simply deck people to death with Blue Sun's Zenith or Braingeyser. Kill them with a hoard of angels with Entreat the Angels and Decree of Justice. Kill them with a huge Aeon Chronicler or Chasm Skulker with the aid of your Whispersilk Cloak and Steel of the Godhead. Kill them with your commander! Six flying power is nothing to sneeze at. Dump all of your mana into a Walking Ballista and ping them to death. Or simply watch the entire table die from Psychosis Crawler as you draw your deck.

The deck is light on creatures, so I run plenty of board wipes that really only effect the opponents. Cyclonic Rift, All Is Dust, Terminus and Supreme Verdict.

Protect your board with a suite of counterspells. Don't let them fire off that Bane of Progress! Mana Drain is overkill, I just happened to have enough money to buy one and decided to mess around with that kind of power. My playgroup is graveyard heavy so something like Dissipate is a must. You can go from winning the game to an immediate loss if an opponent manages to cast and recur a Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Also, Teferi's Protection is one of the best ways to protect yourself of all time. If you can afford it, run it.

Finally, you'll notice that the deck is lacking in certain infinite combos. While they certainly would make the deck stronger, I tried very hard to make sure I didn't include any in the deck. I definitely aimed for more of a 75% approach to the deck so my playgroup didn't have to watch me go infinite every time. That also means no Mana Crypt or Mox Opal. The deck still functions wonderfully without two card infinite combos or some of the most broken artifacts in the format.
