This deck was once a red/green good stuff deck with eldrazi and all the big mythics that beat down hard. But I realized, given the meta of my friend-circle, that everyone plays incredibly brutal, super-win decks. It's never much bothered me, the consistent losing. But relegating myself to that bracket every time is very tiring.

I also realized I really enjoy the non-basic lands of EDH; and what better way to utilize them then by playing them all, at quick speeds. So, Azusa seemed the natural option. Omnath could be the general, I suppose. But there are too many Omnath decks as it is, and there is less room for customization. Anyway, if you're looking for some stroke of genius to the construction of Azusa decks for the future, I'd disappoint you if I said, "look no further". This deck is like most other Azusa decks.
