FortFade and I have been trying to put together an effective blink deck, also known as flicker, for some time now. This is as far as we can take the idea without further help from the TappedOut comminity so we would wqelcome any opinions you can provide. The biggest issue is that there are so many cards to choose from which makes it incredibly difficult to cover all the bases. Usually a deck would need to have full sets of each card to be effective since it increases draw chance, however it seemed more effective to include only 2x of some of most cards in order to increase the possibilities in the deck. Being a control/stall deck, this was important.
By turn 2 you could have set up Isochron Scepter + Silence
which you would be able to start using every turn from turn 3 onwards. You would effectively be playing a game where you have X-2 lands and your oppoenent can never cast spells during their turn, or if you choose, yours; an effect which could be expanded with Grand Abolisher. Additionally, you would be able to set up a blink/flicker combo with Stonehorn Dignitary which would prevent your opponents attacks. Eventually Venser, the Sojourner would give you an emblem that exiles an opponents permanent every time you blink a non-land or cast another spell OR all your creatures would become unblockable which would allow you to swing for the win.
Many cards were considered for this deck such as Mistmeadow Witch, Galepowder Mage, Wall of Omens. There are too many cards to consider which means we will need countless play testing, and ideas from the community.
I'm also considering removing Grand Abolisher since it can't be flickered, and Stonehorn Dignitary probably needs to be a 4x set since it's so essential.
