A fun mono red dragon ramp. Tribal decks are so much fun, and this deck uses two tribes that interact nicely with each other. The humble Myr after their loss to the Phyrexians have be indentured to serve the evil dragons. Muhahah!
This deck frequently get a dragon out on turn three, but I find it's actually better to wait till turn 4 if you have Swiftfoot Boots in you hand.
Ideal:
Turn 1: Mountain
Turn 2: Mountain + Swiftfoot Boots
Turn 3: Mountain + Iron Myr or Palladium Myr
Turn 4:
Geosurge
+ Balefire Dragon + equip Swiftfoot Boots; swing for six damage and kill all their creatures
Turn 5+: Hold your creatures in hand and ride your dragon to victory, once he's got the boots on your in pretty good shape.
Apostle's Blessing is a pretty important card in this deck, as it protects your dragons from removal and get's them past chump blockers when necessary.
One concern is removal used against your myr to slow you down, but any removal used on the myr slows them down from developing board position and is less removal that can be used against your dragons.
I haven't played this against any draw-go decks yet, but I imagine you'd just wait till they were tapped out and power out a dragon and equip boots.
I could use help with the sideboard plan. Against tokens, I was thinking I would -2
Moltensteel Dragon
and +2 Steel Hellkite to have more options for sweeping away their tokens; but I haven't really thought much more into it.
Let me know what you think. Comments and +1's are appreciated.
