Creature (2)

Enchantment (2)

This is my Bant deck built around Willbreaker. Why figure out the best removal spells to play when you can just steal your opponent's creatures instead?

At it's core, this is a tempo deck. Many a games are won by tapping down the biggest blockers and putting pressure on from the beginning. Most of the time Bounding Krasis is played at the opponent's end step to tap down the creature they just played and then attacking with the team. Doing this several turns in a row can get really out of hand.

The real fun begins when Willbreaker stays in play. You get to be really sneaky with cards that the opponent won't realize work as well as they do, until of course it's too late. For instance, Harbinger of the Tides can steal a tapped creature. The trigger goes on the stack to target a tapped creature when it enters the battlefield. That targeting triggers the Willbreaker. That trigger resolves first and you gain control of the tapped creature. When the Harbinger trigger goes to resolve, it fizzles because the creature is no longer "target tapped creature an opponent controls".

The same thing applies with Dromoka's Command. You can put a counter on one of their guys to steal it, and you can set up a fight that will fizzle when it tries to resolve, resulting in two creatures stolen at instant speed for two mana.

What makes Willbreaker so fun is the ability to steal creatures at any time. Whirler Rogue's ability can be used at instant speed to target their creature for no mana. Rogue's Passage can also steal creatures when you have no cards in hand. My highlight so far has been: Opponent pluses his Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and attacks. I flashed in Bounding Krasis to untap his Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, and proceeded to block his other creature with it.

Retreat to Coralhelm is another way to target creatures for no mana, and fetch lands let you do it on your opponent's turn.

Silkwrap is a well-positioned removal spell, and interacts with Willbreaker in your favor like Harbinger of the Tides.

If you have any questions on interactions, hit me up in the comments and I will try to explain. Thanks for checking this out! It's been very fun to play, and this deck is surprisingly competitive. Sleeve it up for FNM and beat your opponents with their own creatures.
