Whenever a new "win the game if X happens" card is spoiled, I just get the itch to start building around it. Mechanized Production is no exception. With so many artifacts and artifact generators in standard, there's countless ways to approach this deck. I ended up going with clues because it was one of my favorite mechanics to come out of SOI, and the amount of cards that both create and synergize with clues is fantastic. It also works with improvise quite nicely, though with the exception of Metallic Rebuke it was hard to put too much of it in there.
I've been playing this deck on MTGO and have been winning the majority of matches. I even pushed through the loss of both copies of Mechanized Production and won with raw damage, as most of my creatures are low cost and some have flying, and
Confront the Unknown
is a great alternative use for clues (besides the card draw, of course).
Most of my inclusions are pretty self explanatory. The main objective is to generate clues and win with mechanized production, though as previously mentioned swinging till they scoop is also viable and a great backup plan.
Tamiyo's Journal
investigates each turn and can sac clues to find Mechanized Production (doing this also puts three +1/+1 counters on Tireless Tracker!) And Declaration in Stone helps to get rid any pesky creatures you don't counter with Disallow or Metallic Rebuke.
Sideboard inclusions help to give the deck more of a control element with Authority of the Consuls. Ongoing Investigation generation if I find I'm doing a lot of damage with creatures, and
Root Out
and
Ceremonious Rejection
help deal with artifact heavy decks like ones with Aetherflux Reservoir. I also threw in
Quarantine Field
to help add more general non-artifact specific removal, though I'm connsidering Stasis Snare instead because of the flash. I've also found
Ceremonious Rejection
to be useful against Eldrazi decks, though this is becoming less common.
All said and done, while this deck isn't top tier I'm really enjoying playing it and overall I'm happy with how it turned out. Any and all suggestions are totally welcome, and thanks for looking! Don't forget to leave a +1 :)
