This deck is the evolution of the Bant Zenith Control 1.0 list: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/bant-zentih-control/
In a similar way to how the 1.0 list assembled a 2 for 1 combo, at its floor, with effectively 8 copies of Ice-fang & 3 copies of Ninja of the Deep Hours; this deck assembles a functional 5 copies of Veteran Explorer with 2 copies of Neoform & the functional 5 copies of Grist as a sac outlet to ramp out an Early Primeval Titan. Cast Neoform, Sac Veteran Explorer, Grab (Sno) Island & Forest with Vet Trigger, Fetch Snapcaster with Neoform, Flashback Neoform saccing Snapcaster, Put Leovold or Your Choice of 3 drop Including Grist. The earliest you can trigger Veteran Explorer outside of Combat is turn 2 if you have Veteran in hand. Realistically the earliest you could Zenith for the 1 Explorer is Turn 2 so Neoform would be a turn 3 play similiar to bouncing Icefang with Ninja.
Veteran Explorer could be a decent 1 of on its own being a stone wall to ragavan and being a 3 for 1. Of course, there are diminishing returns to multiple copies of Vet Explorer. We only need to get to 7 mana to trigger the Titan end game collapse and we have control spells to bridge that short short gap from 4 to 7 mana after triggering Veteran Explorer once. And if you don't need Primeval titan in the matchup then same difference, triggering Vet once gives us all the mana we need to start aggressively Brainstorming away extra lands.
"Imagine Game 1, you are playing a Jace Control Deck Against Titan Post, You have A Full Grip, An Still Die to his Hand of 2 Cards."
The changes made to this list aim to increase the clock of the deck while simultaneously increasing its inevitability. The trade off, I suppose, is not having a full hand in the way that the 1.0 list accomplished digging through the deck which I suppose has diminishing returns. That thing that everyone does in tempo blue decks, the not making unnecessary land drops beyond the 3rd land in play. We don't get rewarded for that as Bant control to the same degree as delver does. That said Brainstorm is in this 1.1 list but its function is effectively cavern of souls in for Primeval Titan. Yes, that's right, you will never strip me of 4 copies of Prime cough i mean Green Sun's Zenith. Side out Primeval Tian and Field of the Dead if they are not needed in the Matchup and use your Brainstorms to shuffle away extra lands.
Incase you're wondering why Gaea's Cradle is in the sideboard, it breaks the symmetry of The Tabernacle of Pendrell Vale so we can capitalize on Field of the Dead for matchups where we want inevitability and to wreck say Monastery Mentor, or Elves or Madness Vine or ... It turns out we have the best of both worlds with Sigarda which allows us inevitability in the face of Blood Moon for Instance vs UWr control. I guess I just like to have my Snow Covered Basics Cake and Eat it with Field of the Dead Zombies too.
Incase you're wondering why Life from the Loam isn't in the Main board my logic is that if it is in this deck it is to protect Field of the Dead after it is hit by Wasteland. Ok don't expose Field of the Dead to Wasteland, shuffle it away with Brainstorm. Problem Solved. We don't get value from Recurring Lands, We get value from Ramping to Field and our high Density of Basics cannot be Wastelanded. Where do we need Field to stick around after accruing its initial value? Well against Control and Attrition games. Control lacks meaningful interaction to Field of the Dead and Karakas anyways. And attrition, well, Sigarda is in the board for that matchup. Also there is risk involved with dredging Loam and flipping Primeval Titan Into the Bin.
