I haven't tried this out yet, but if someone has the cards and wants to play around with this, let me know how it works! I'd like to have an idea about whether or not it can be successful before I buy the cards. I would also appreciate some ideas on how to improve upon it.
Objective: Get out big creatures and hit your opponent with them before chucking them with Barrage Tyrant.
Card Rationale:
Creatures:
Barrage Tyrant- He's the engine that gets damage through
Eldrazi Mimic- He can be a great thing to chuck at an opponent if you can put in a large creature and still have 3 mana leftover.
Herald of Kozilek- Provides valuable early game defense while helping to ramp into my other creatures.
Lupine Prototype- High risk, high reward card. It is one of the best cards in standard for crewing vehicles and can deal loads of damage when chucked.
Metalwork Colossus- Clearly the best card to chuck at an opponent. It can come out relatively cheaply thanks to the vehicles and Thirsting Axe.
Thraben Gargoyle- A solid early game blocker that can be chucked later or turned into a flyer if necessary.
Sorcery:
Collective Defiance- A versatile card that can help with card draw or getting rid of various threats.
Instant:
Anticipate- We MUST get Barrage Tyrant
Artifacts:
Cultivator's Caravan- A nice card to help ramp or attack/block/chuck
Demolition Stomper- A terrible card unless you can pilot it with your Lupine Prototype and then chuck it.
Skysovereign, Consul Flagship- Just a great a card, can be crewed and then chucked if necessary.
Thirsting Axe- I think this could have some serious upside in this deck. If you can attach it, you can add 4 damage to whatever you're chucking/attacking with.
Planeswalkers:
Chandra- It's just very, very good. This deck needs card draw, mana ramp, and creature removal. Chandra does all of the above.
Saheeli Rai- Copy something and chuck it!
