Name - Role - Thoughts
Deathbellow Raider - Chump 2/3 - block all those pesky 2/2 starters and live. (
Soldier of the Pantheon
or Voice of Resurgence ect.) If he is still kicking later game, regenerate is nice to collide with anything that isn't heavy trample.
Ragemonger - Secret weapon - Got enough mana to play Ragemonger , then you have enough mana to play everything in your deck as long as he is out on the field.
Rageblood Shaman - Destroyer/Savior - First up, "Savior". Every Minotaur in the deck with exception of Fanatic of Mogis has at least 3 toughness.(he has done most of his job when he hits the battlefield anyway). With the +1/+1, this protects you from Lightning Strike and Anger of the Gods as well as many other threats. Now for "Destroyer". Your opponent used to have chump blockers, with your newly acquired +1/+1 and Trample, they are now poorly guarding the player. This especially goes well with
Kragma Warcaller
for the +2/0 boost and unexpected blitz.
Boros Reckoner
- Boros Reckoner - Get a Ragemonger or two out, and
Boros Reckoner
goes on sale for 1 - 2 mana!! What a savings! If you manage to get a third Ragemonger out, he is free. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back. He also is a staple for devotion in this deck, for both Fanatic of Mogis and Mogis, God of Slaughter. Fun fact: did you know you can give
Boros Reckoner
first strike? If you cast him for 2 mana, you have one left over to defend with.
Fanatic of Mogis - Exacerbate-er - knock knock-- Is
Boros Reckoner
home? If not, hello Rageblood Shaman and/or
Kragma Warcaller
Kragma Warcaller
- Stampede - He done spooked the cattle. Just hope Rageblood Shaman was one of them.
Felhide Spiritbinder
- Reinforcements - Maybe you wish you had another Fanatic of Mogis to deal direct damage. Maybe you need another
Kragma Warcaller
to give everyone +4/0. Even better, maybe you also need a
Desecration Demon
- why should your opponent be the only one who gets one even if only for a turn.
Mogis, God of Slaughter - Looks like a Minotaur - Im not entirely sure he even fits in to this deck expect for cosmetically looking the part. I've been on the fence about switching him out for 2x Whip of Erebos. Its not uncommon that he becomes a creature with help from Ragemonger and
Boros Reckoner
.
The common scenario for every game 1 of 3 is:
T1: Temple of Malice
T2: Mountain + Deathbellow Raider
T3: Mountain + Ragemonger (opponent inspects, because who plays minotaurs?) It lives.
T4: Mountain + Ragemonger + Rageblood Shaman + 2x
Boros Reckoner
OR
Kragma Warcaller
+ reagemonger (opponent is sweating from the decisions he/she has to make)
T5: Target player poops pants. (You)
Thanks for looking.
