Battle of the Witless

Or...

If you can't decide what to play, play ALL the cards!

I'm trying to build a Battle of Wits deck for Standard play at my local LGS. I don't particularly care if it wins often or not. I just want to see the looks on people's faces when I drop all 240+ cards onto the table in front of them. :) Of course, it would be nice if it won too, I suppose.

Thoughts and Stuff

This deck has a pretty gutsy manabase (most would call it shaky, I'm sure), so I've included lots of manafixin's in here, besides the two-color lands. We have artifacts like Sphere of the Suns , Traveler's Amulet, Pristine Talisman, and Solemn Simulacrum to help with color fixing, ramp, and land fetch. Additionally, there are creatures, such as Llanowar Elves, Avacyn's Pilgrim, and Birds of Paradise for creature ramp. With all that ramp, we should have no problems ramping up to our big guys if they end up in our hand.

Another way to get our dudes on the field is to cheat them out there from within the deck, using Birthing Pod, or Green Sun's Zenith for green creatures. Pod is the preferred method of choice, since it takes less mana, works on non-green creatures, and can be used every turn. This deck is moderately creature-heavy, and being able to get the right ones at the right time is important.

Of course, Battle of Wits is another win condition here, and there are four ways in the deck to search for it: Increasing Ambition, Diabolic Tutor , Diabolic Revelation, and Rune-Scarred Demon. However, as with a good pod deck, I'm hoping that the enchantment itself shouldn't be necessary for the win. The deck has to be able to hold its own if Battle gets countered or can't be tutored out.

Any and all criticism and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I do want to make this a good deck, even if it's also to be kind of a joke. Just keep in mind that I want it to focus on efficient, hard-hitting, and high initial value creatures to get the job done most of the time. I'd prefer to aggro my way through, but I'll take the Battle with my Wits if I can get it. :)
