Black/White aggro enchantment beatdown with re-usable cards.
This is a TRUE bestow deck, not like the other posers out there. Truly OG! Rivals that stupid aggro blue that everyone runs and shits on most top tier decks with pure creatures and ways to bring them back.
All out aggressive with barely any card above 3. Scales into late game with the bestows. Also, gets across the typical enchant creature, make it big, they kill it. Instead, you bestow big bombs onto one or separate creatures. If its bestowed all onto one, you get a kick ass guy, who when dies, spawns everything attached to it. Or create multiple threats, making every removal count. Budget deck so you can throw a couple bucks and still kick ass.
Hopeful Eidolon : gives lifelink and bestows for 4... what?
Nyxborn Shieldmate : is a 1/2 that bestows for 3, what the cluck?
Pain Seer : is one of first threats in your deck when it hits the board. A card that plays so early and gives card advantage is great. It's drawback? Lose a maximum of 4 life... small price to pay in black.
Baleful Eidolon : is an interesting card. Although it sucks as a 1/1 deathtouch for 2, it fills out the 2 drops and bestows for 5. While steep, it satisfies the enchantment creature making it OK in my book.
Hero of Iroas and Spiteful Returned : were the last bit of contenders filling out the 2 drops. Ultimately, I went with Hero of Iroas because I found Spiteful Returned really wasn't making much of a difference, only against stalls. The Hero fits better setting up for the real bomb...
Eidolon of Countless Battles : ...Anyone playing this guy and not running 4 is out of their mind! This guy turns every enchantment and creature as a buff to himself or the creature he bestows on. Did I mention he bestows for 4?! Did I mention Hero of Iroas discounts it by 1 and drops at 2?! Immediately turn that silly 1 drop of yours into the biggest threat on the board. Go ahead and waste your Hero's Downfall on my bestowed Nyxborn Shieldmate...
Archetype of Courage : gives your board and clears their board of first strike... Another silly mini-bomb that drops at 3.
Herald of Torment : is a hidden gem in this current set. A 3/3 flyer for 3 in black is hard to come by, and wait... it bestows as well?! Adds a little flying response and giving you evasion for those stalls.
Odunos River Trawler : ...the main reason why this deck was created. This uncommon incorporates the most stupid reanimation style effect in standard. For 3, return ANY ENCHANTMENT CREATURE from your graveyard to your hand. Enchantment creature you say? I think I saw that type somewhere in my deck... What's the kicker? Do it again for 1.
Other spells -
Ethereal Armor : ...read the text, look at my deck, ...?, profit.
Orzhov Charm : is basically your removal, bounce saver, and if necessary, creature return. While the last ability probably wont be used that much, the removal is what qualifies it to join the Sochi olympics. Sure you could just run Hero's Downfall (probably will once it falls out), but its versatility is what I like. Save that Ethereal Armor you have. And who cares about the life loss from destroying a creature? I'm sure your 3/3 lifelink swing on turn 2 should be building that life advantage you have...
Gift of Immortality : was first put in as a filler when I was building this deck over Gift of Orzhova, but eventually became main boarded for 2 reasons: Gift that deathtouch or Mr. Battles, OR Gift that River Trawler... oh god...
Whip of Erebos : is probably what I'm most iffy about in this deck. Board lifelink is great, whipping back in something probably wont happen unless you whip back in the Trawler... Lol? Until I find a better card, I'll just keep this in for the board buff.
Sideboard is made for dealing with late game control, aggro stalls, and added aggro.
Fate Unraveler : go ahead control, use that Sphinx's Revelation. Also a time ticker.
Spirit of the Labyrinth : go ahead control (or any other deck that generates card draw), use that Sphinx's Revelation.
Spiteful Returned : got moved to the sideboard because it wasn't as much of as an impact compared to the Hero. However, it does come in when there becomes a lot of board stall swings for that 2 direct damage.
Erebos, God of the Dead : just in case they have lifelink...
Revoke Existence : best card, 10/10, would play.
Sphere of Safety : Another hidden gem. Costing at 5 however, doesn't make it into my main board. If it ever hits the board though... Good luck paying for 1 swing.
