This is my piece de resistance as a Johnny, my synergistic junk rare deck. Big Spender is a converted mana cost deck. The major effects (Erratic Explosion, Riddle of Lightning, Explosive Revelation, and Timesifter) reveal the top card of the library and do something based on the CMC of the card.

Note that most of the cards have alternate costs (morph, suspend, affinity for islands), a secondary function (island cycling), or are split cards (when revealed from the top, you can sum the CMC of both halves).

It's also hilariously worth noting that pretty much the entire value of the deck comes from the mana base. Without the fetches and the duals, the deck's full of junk rares and is worth about $5-$25. (It could get by with Terramorphic Expanses and basic lands, but why do that to my favorite deck?)
