This deck essentially revolves around Master Transmuter's ability to cheat in beaters (T4 Blightsteel Colossus) and protect permanents from removal. It also leverages "enters the battlefield" triggers to give it a toolbox feel. This makes the deck surprisingly resistant to counterspells because you actually don't cast spells very often.

Birthing Pod + Treasure Mage allows you to cheat a Master Transmuter or Faerie Mechanist into play from your library while tucking a high-cost utility artifact into your hand to cheat in later.

Filigree Angel + Myr Battlesphere fills the battlefield with 1/1 chump blockers that can be used for the battlesphere's direct damage ability, or to inflate your life total to unreasonable levels in preparation for Eternity Vessel.

Duplicant + Master Transmuter : I don't really have anything to say about this aside from how mean it can be. Seriously.

Master Transmuter + Shield Sphere Using Shield Sphere as the target to bounce in exchange for the card in your hand allows you to clear any -0/-1 counters that have accumulated, with the added benefit of being able to play it immediately for no mana. The same can be done with Seat of the Synod or Darksteel Citadel, provided you haven't played a land on the turn you're bouncing.

Right now I'm trying to make this deck modern-legal by finding alternatives for Seat of the Synod (ideally a UG dual) and the 0-drop spot currently occupied by Shield Sphere.
