Sideboard

(Description is for this deck in its old Standard environment)

Keystone Card here is obviously Birthing Pod. This deck takes full advantage of the fact that the almighty pod doesn't care in the slightest bit about color, and is as a result the deck is a somewhat unusual GWBU.

This deck has the absolute fewest lands possible, but is still lightning quick thanks to Birds of Paradise and Avacyn's Pilgrim Pilgrim produces an off-color mana, making it far more useful than the more typical Llanowar Elves since so many of the early drops require white. Dual lands here all require either a Plains or a Forest to come in untapped, which means they do so 90% of the time. The solitary Island and Swamp are there so that Solemn Simulacrum can fish them in the event that a dual or a big guy is in my hand.

Playstyle here is incredible flexible, although most games are won through brute strength, there are several combos that often lead to very fast forfeits. The deck itself plays like one large crazy combo.

Notable Birthing Pod Combos:

Razor Hippogriff + Solemn Simulacrum Is very fun to use. Use 4 life, gain 4 life, get a 3/3 flyer, draw a card, recycle Solemn.

Vorapede + Dual Birthing Pod - I turned one creature into two bigger ones. Magic!

Sunblast Angel + Sheoldred, the Whispering One Despite having to typically sacrifice a walker or potentially take a massive hit to creatures or life, this is a game turning combo. Being able to bring back Sunblast next turn to fetch Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is just icing. Speaking of...

Wurmcoil Engine + Sheoldred, the Whispering One + Elesh Norn, grand cenobyte for Late Game presence.

Other Combos

Mimic Vat is around for shenanigans and to steal Undying. It has amazing synergy with both Birthing Pod and is even better at spamming those "Enter the Battlefield" effects.

Venser is around for super annoying shenanigans. Notably, Stonehorn Dignitary + Venser, the Sojourner .and Frost Titan + Venser, the Sojourner . Bonus points of you use Venser, the Sojourner to exile Frost Titan during your second Main phase so he can attack both the current turn and the next one.

Control

Phyrexian Metamorph is an effective Legendary killer. Also lets you copy your own "enter the battlefield" effects or piggy back off the CMC of one of your opponent's creatures for Birthing Pod.

Oblivion Ring is the ever present favorite.

Karn Liberated is around to no-sell goodies. Restarting the game with a Primeval Titan and a Birthing Pod is just a bonus.

Massacre Wurm + Phyrexian Metamorph + Mimic Vat + Birthing Pod + Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite Massive Creature death for your opponents. Theoretically can get up to -10/-10 for everything they control, losing 8 life for anything that needed -8 or more to kill. The best I have done is -6/-6 but that still ended the game on the spot due to my opponents now negative life total.

Sideboard options

If manipulating my own deck wasn't enough to beat you, I will just manipulate yours too!

Spellskite Pesky red weenie roasts got you down? Opponent spamming Auras? Shuffle this guy in and have some fun.

Memoricide, Surgical Extraction, Snapcaster Mage You saw what he played before you sideboarded, now get rid of it. Then give yourself more time as he cries over his now completely unbalanced land ratios.

Act of Aggression Pilfer, Plunder, Pod, Profit.
