Hello chumps and welcome to BITE MY SHINY MILLING @$$. You'll be walked through this deck by the greatest and most powerful bending unit to ever be built. Me, Bender. MUWAHAHAHAHA let's get started.
This deck pickpockets no good fleshbags by milling with cards like Breaking / Entering, Mind Funeral, Hedron Crab, Traumatize, Archive Trap, Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker and Tome Scour.
Once their graveyard is full you can use it to your advantage by playing cards like Jace's Phantasm, Consuming Aberration, Wight of Precinct Six and Visions of Beyond to beat up those poor suckers.
Just in case putting it in the graveyard isn't enough you could always throw them into outer space with
Circu, Dimir Lobotomist
, Haunting Echoes, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, or Oona, Queen of the Fae.
Consuming Aberration + Phenax, God of Deception
think about it with your squishy human brains.
Archive Trap
+
Jace's Phantasm
if you have both of these in your opening hand, and the opponent plays a fetch land on his first turn, that is a turn one 5/5 flying.
I plan on replacing the two Tome Scour with two more Archive Trap when i can get my cold metal hands on some to steal...MUWAHAHAHAHA.
I've used this deck a lot and it has won against some pretty tough decks. It does well against a mill deck's biggest weakness, which is burn decks, because if you draw the right cards this deck can be just as fast (or even faster). I've even won against elf and merfolk tribal decks built to go in legacy tournaments. Even the almighty eldrazi and slivers have fallen to this deck.
Of course it has it's weaknesses and bad matchups but all in all it's a good solid deck that wins consistently. Like I already said look out for burn decks and control decks. Mill has very little that it can do to effect board state so it lacks alot of control. It also struggles against reanimator decks but that's why i got Haunting Echoes,
Circu, Dimir Lobotomist
and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver for. I want to caution you to use Haunting Echoes and ashiok's last ability wisely though, because it will take away all the ammo you're trying to build up for Wight of Precinct Six and Consuming Aberration.
Even though I am the greatest robot to ever live my harddrive is always storing information on how to make this deck better. I also need suggestions on a sideboard because I would eventually like to see how far i can push a mill deck in a tournament (whenever I finally decide to try and get into that sort of thing).
So long puny humans and have fun biting my shiny milling @$$ MUWAHAHAHAHA!
