Early Game
At the beginning of the game, the goal is to discard as many cards as possible from your opponent's hand to get ready for The Rack, Shrieking Affliction, and Quest for the Nihil Stone (which you will have to get your opponent to discard two cards to activate.
Mid Game
During the middle of the game, you need to ensure your survival. The best ways to do this are through Ensaring Bridge, Smallpox, Surgical Extraction and
Liliana of the Veil
. If you can keep your opponent's creatures at bay, if they have creatures, you will be all set to go.
Grand Finale
Yay! You've won the game! Eventually, The Rack, Shrieking Affliction, and Quest for the Nihil Stone will cut down your opponent's life total down to zero and he or she will lose the game.
Budget
This deck is fairly cheap besides Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Ensnaring Bridge, and
Liliana of the Veil
, if you choose to sub them in. Ensnaring Bridge is hard to replace for budget because it is important, turning your opponent's creatures in dead cards.Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek can be replaced with Duress, Despise, or
