Just a basic burn/aggro deck utilizing the new
Dust Stalker
and
Forerunner of Slaughter
. It runs pretty fast and you can usually deal 20 damage by turn 6 while dealing with creatures.
Speaking of creatures here's a breakdown:
Drana, Liberator of Malakir - Fantastic buffer because it deals first strike damage first and then the +1/+1 counters get added to the rest of your creatures before they deal combat damage.
Dust Stalker
- Any creature that can deal five damage the first turn its played is fine by me. The return ability will not be a problem, your running enough colorless creatures to have that not matter, plus it basically makes it a dash creature and it's not a terrible dash either.
Forerunner of Slaughter
- Fantastic rush card because playing a 3/2 haste on turn 3 isn't bad.
Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury - You should only ever dash this as a finisher for extra damage. It's just not worth it to waste a turn to attack with it.
Monastery Swiftspear - Also speaks for itself as the best one drop for aggro strategies.
Abbot of Keral Keep
- I wouldn't worry too much about wasting this trigger so if you need to I would definitely play this on turn two knowing you couldn't do anything with the card. It's just good even without it.
Bloodsoaked Champion - Fantastic against other people playing burn because it's very easy to get it back. Value.
Zurgo Bellstriker - Having a 2/2 for one mana doesn't happen often because it's good. It's just great.
Mardu Strike Leader - Getting a board presence is very easy with this card. Just creating bodies every turn is fantastic aggro.
Sideboard is fairly straight forward:
Control - Just Duress coming in and I would take out
Abbot of Keral Keep
or Bloodoaked Champion.
Midrange - I would put in
Complete Disregard
, Roast, and Despise to get rid of their annoying creatures.
seige rhino
is an automatic hit for Despise or anything else with more than three toughness. I would take out
Abbot of Keral Keep
and Wild Slash for these.
Eldrazi Ramp - This is what the Act of Treasons are for to steal their own eldrazi and bash their own face in. Honestly how great would it feel to steal someones Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and have them mill 20? Thats the dream. I would also put in Despise and Ruinous Path to spot remove their big threats. The things I would take out are Bloodsoaked Champion and Wild Slash because they won't do anything to big threats.
Other Aggro Decks - I don't really know what you can do other that maybe put in Despise if they are really creature heavy like you are, and I would take out Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and a
Dust Stalker
