The deck's Strategy is very Straightforward. get Boros Reckoner or Spitemare on the field, Play a
Volcano Hellion
while having at least 1 more Hp than your opponent, use the hellion to deal damage to the Boros Reckoner/Spitemare equal to your opponent's life total, bounce the damage to his face: Win the game.Alternatively you can kill you opponent slowly, casting Boros Charms,Lightning Bolts, or bouncing the Blasphemous Act damage from a Reckoner/Spitemare.
Unusual Cards Uses and roles:
Soulfire Grand Master: very important and one of the reasons this deck Actually works. She can consistently increase your Life Total, giving extra value to your removal Spells ( Lightning Bolt,Blasphemous Act) and Direct damage if you choose to do so. Just an Exemple of what she can do:Your opponent has 3 Creatures on the Board ( You have a Forbidden Orchard). You have a Soulfire Grand Master and a Boros Reckoner. you tap 3 lands, including the orchard, reducing the cost of a Blasphemous Act in your hand by 6 and allowing you to cast it on turn 4. you can bounce 8 damage to your opponent's face, while gaining 76 Life with the spell Lifelink.
Volcano Hellion
: The combo Piece. as described previously, if targeting a Boros Reckoner, the Hellion can win the game out of nothing. really unexpected and is sure to make some people mad :D
Nearheath Pilgrim
: Another unusual creature that has a very important role. the Soulbound, if paired to the
Volcano Hellion
Gives lifelink BEFORE the ETB effect. so, you can actually gain Infinite life, while dealing Infinite damage to any chosen creature on the battlefield. Infinite life is always good i guess....... :D
Grand Abolisher : this deck usually suffers from instant responses to it's combos, so grand abolisher is a neat way to guarantee your combo lands, you could try instants that give protection, but I feel the fact the Abolisher is a creatur helps more the decks strategy.
Boros Charm/Valorous Stance : the main reason these cards are in the deck is thei flexibility. While they can act as Damage and Removal Respectively, they can also protect our permanents, something very valuable in a Creature Combo deck.
Pariah: a Card that i just find interesting in the list... but is totally replaceable if something more useful comes to mind.
