This deck was just another attempt to create something theme-based and fun to take to FNM. It can win, but isn't going to take down the whole tournament by any means. I built the deck without shock lands originally, but it has grown since then, and become more and more meta focused. It works well against delver decks, as a 3/1 can't hurt you if it is constantly tapped down, and it has a sideboard that focuses on pro colors and alpha strikes.

At it's core, this is a white devotion deck that attempts to keep opponents creatures tapped down and quickly ramp into Sunblast Angel to clear the board, but it can win off the back of Gideon's Avenger fairly easily as well. Anyone who hasn't played with this card should try it out. It just gets stupidly big in a few turns, especially with Blustersquall and Gideon Jura 's ability to make all the opponent's creatures attack if able.

Blind Obedience doesn't cause Gideon's Avenger to trigger, but it does slow the opponent down, and it comes with extort which is important against Burn.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is an amazing card that is rarely used in modern. I hope this shows that it is worth the investment and can be used to great effect.
