Fiddling with the list. Changing the sideboard mostly, hopefully for the better?
Affinity is always a finicky 75. The brownness of the deck naturally inhibits the mainboard color choices, but red seems the most resilient. As a result, I've opted to cut the three mainboard Master of Etherium's in favor of additional colorless hate a la Chalice of the Void. I have also opted to cut a Blinkmoth Nexus and a Spire of Industry in favor of two Inventors' Fair - finding a card seems to me more powerful than what either of those two cards was offering. Only one way to find out, however!
The two Chalice of the Void's are mainly aimed at decks like Jeskai, Grixis, and Jund. The prevalence of cheap removal in the form of the format's new favorite, Fatal Push, combined with the usually free Path to Exile and the eponymous Lightning Bolt, our artifacts have become incredibly fragile. Chalice will seek to end the tyranny of Push and Spell Snare on this format, hopefully for our betterment.
The addition of a second Grafdigger's Cage along with some Pithing Needle's are to aid us against a variety of threats, mainly the emerging Company decks. With Duskwatch Recruiter and Devoted Druid changing the style, speed, and consistency of Company combo decks, these additions will be mighty beneficial. In particular, Pithing Needle offers a more versatile card for dealing with a variety of decks, depending on the matches where I simply do not have answers to certain abilities.
The return of Thoughtseize along with the steady inclusion of Wear / Tear and Whipflare demonstrate, in my view, the need on my end to curtail certain degenerate strategies; combo, no-fun, and small creatures, respectively. Stubborn Denial is simply a deck all-star and I wish it was in my mainboard.
Actively searching for feedback on the 75, along with suggestions for alternatives. This is heavily updated for the local meta, but it is far less diversified than my current sideboard. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, only time may tell...
