Sideboard

This is a prison deck. It uses either Birds of Paradise or Avacyn's Pilgrim to ramp into one of its lock pieces. It then uses either Venser, the Sojourner or Eldrazi Displacer to flicker the lock piece and keep its opponent under a lock. It then uses Venser, the Sojourner's last two abilities to win, with Blade Splicers as backup in case Venser, the Sojourner dies.

Against the fast, linear decks that take up most of the modern meta, this deck gets a Stonehorn Dignitary into play as fast as it possibly can to lock them out of their way to win. Blade Splicer, Wall of Omens, and Soul Warden all help buy time.

Against combo decks and big mana decks, this deck deploys Mystic Snake and Acidic Slime to stop combos and break up tron. It then closes the game with Blade Splicer or a Venser, The sojouner emblem. Some of the decks faster hands can get a turn 2 Blade Splicer and try to race, even without a lock piece.

Against the midrange and control decks, this deck will try to get any of its locks online, but doesn't go all-in. Instead, it uses its lock pieces as value engines to grind the enemy out. In this case, the entire deck uses entrance triggers to accumulate value rather then going for any specific combo.

The sideboard strategies should be pretty evident. Basically, you bring out bad locks for good locks, and sometimes value.
