Blue/White Control (Post Rotation)

Standard*

Arcanus

Sideboard

This is the first draft of my idea for blue/white control post-rotation. Any comments or constructive criticisms are welcome.

The win condition for this deck is AEtherling. I counter or bounce my opponent's creatures and spells until I hit my seventh land drop, then cast Aetherling and go to town.

Heliod, God of the Sun is included to provide Aetherling with vigilance and to give me an alternate win condition. If I'm either not drawing Aetherling or have lost them to my opponent's control, then Heliod can pump out 2/1 creatures with vigilance to (hopefully) overwhelm them.

Thassa, God of the Sea provides me with a guaranteed scry on my upkeep, which effectively halves the number of draws I need to take in order to pull lands or Aetherling. Dissolve also gives me scry power while also providing a hard counter against my opponent.

Azorius Charm is extremely versatile, either granting me card advantage or a bounce spell. Sphinx's Revelation gives me draw power and some life ramp.

Blind Obedience and Detention Sphere are meant to slow down my opponents, especially if they are on the aggro plan. Blind Obedience in particular is a nasty card for aggro decks to deal with. I'm considering throwing a second one in here, but I'm not sure what I'd replace yet.

My sideboard isn't set in stone by any means. Dispel is to be boarded against other control decks as it provides me an extremely cheap counter to their counter. Essence Scatter is a bit meh, but it seemed like a strong sideboard card. I probably don't need to run four, though. Nightveil Specter might stay, but I haven't come to a final decision yet. Sundering Growth is going to be very powerful if a good amount of enchantment creatures see constructed play. As it stands, it's still a fairly strong card.

I'm mostly looking for suggestions for the sideboard. Mainboard suggestions are certainly welcome, though. I realize that I will never hit devotion to white, and devotion to blue is unlikely to occur as well, but adding permanents means subtracting control, and I'm not sure I want to do that. I will welcome any recommendations for substitutes, though. Just keep in mind that this is post rotation, so no Innistrad block card suggestions please.

Updates Add

Decided to take Blustersquall out of the mainboard and replace it with a Nightveil Specter and another Detention Sphere. Also decided to reduce my sideboarded Sundering Growths to two and add two Nightveil Specters to the sideboard. Also moved the Negates to the sideboard and replaced them with two Essence Scatters. I haven't had to deal with too many non-creature threats so far, so Essence Scatter seems to be the better choice for now.

My list has only played against mono-black and RWB, but it's done pretty well so far. I seem to have an edge pre-board, and I don't do too badly post-board even. I've found that I usually just cycle Azorius Charms, but they have come in handy late-game a few times. Not that either use is bad at all; sometimes cycling is a very good thing to do.

However, I have felt that I need at least one creature out somewhat early in the game. I decided to go with Nightveil Specter because it has three blue symbols and it has evasion. If I'm having trouble getting an AEtherling to resolve, then Nightveil Specter and Thassa become an alternate win condition. With both on the board, all I need is a Detention Sphere or Jace to get devotion. Even if I can't hit devotion, I still have the ability to make Nightveil Specter unblockable if my opponent is running flyers.
