Bob from acccounting
This is my take on Death and taxes that splashes black. The best part about death and taxes is that it can attack from three angles: Mana denial, Tempo, or grindy depending on the matchup thrown at it.

Creatures:

Dark Confidant:So your first thought is probably "What is Bob doing in here?" Well you see the main problem with this deck is it can run out of cards easily. This shores up that problem to some degree and the life loss isn't bad with our low curve. The best part is that he's not even a dead card in aggressive match ups because sometimes we can just flicker him in.

Leonin Arbiter:An essential creature to our gameplan. Just take a moment to stop and think about how many fetches or library searching cards there are in the average tiered deck. Usually it's anywhere between 4-12 cards.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben: This card basically says your opponents cards cost more. It is a threat that the opponent must deal with or you will run away with the game.

Aven Mindcensor: This is basically a Leonin Arbiter that gets flash and unavoidable search limiting in exchange for and 1 less toughness.

Blade Splicer: This guy is our primary beater and trade value engine. You can think of it as summon a 3/3 golem with the actual card being like an enchantment that gives your tokens first strike. When flickered via wisp or resto angel value festivities are had.

Flickerwisp : This is one of the most important cards in the entire list. It can flicker vials if you need to reset them and can flicker creatures to dodge wraths or any removal really. It can reset finks or get us another golem on blade splicer, and if that wasn't enought you can vial it in against twin creatures when it gets targeted for twin to counter twin. An all around all-star.

Kitchen Finks: This card is just pure value. It is in a way a 3 for 1 (2 bodies and 4 life). It makes up for some Bob life loss, helps us versus aggressive decks and is grindy enough vs BGx.

Eldrazi Displacer : A one of that gives us a repeatable blink in the late game.

Restoration Angel : This is basically a flickerwisp that only can be cast on your creatures, but it doesn't need a vial and it flickers instantly (Usually good but can be a downside versus wrath effects). Things get pretty insane when you start chaining these holy friends with some splicers.

Non-creature spells:

Aether Vial: This card is what makes our creatures even more annoying. Our opponent has to play around it our pay the consequences. It pretty much makes all our creatures of a certain mana cost (usually 2 or 3) have flash. It is also the card that makes our flickerwisp insane.

Path to Exile: Unfortunately some people play cards that don't just die to our flickering and creatures. That means we gotta run this card. On the bright side we can sometimes deny them the search if they've casted Serum Visions or if we got a search denial creature out.
