Sideboard

Maybeboard

A slightly altered version of Justin Crandall's Naya Midrange that he won with in the StarCityGames Standard Open on 5/31/14. I took out the Voyaging Satyrs and replaced them with 3 Judge's Familiars instead; additionally, I removed one Courser of Kruphix and added another Selesnya Charm for more answers. I subbed out one Sacred Foundry for one Temple of Triumph, just to have a touch more scry power. I'll continue to tweak this and make it my own as time goes on; sideboard and mainboard suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Updates Add

So I've swapped out even more things since earlier this afternoon, trying to adjust my mana as I change one or two cards around. My previous changes were the following:

-3 Voyaging Satyrs --> + 3 Judge's Familiars -1 Courser of Kruphix --> +1 Selesnya Charm -1 Sacred Foundry --> +1 Temple of Triumph -1 Temple of Abandon --> +1 Temple of Triumph

The mana will continue to change (of that I am certain); but I took our a Foundry for a Triumph for more scry power, as well as taking out the Abandon for a Triumph since my White mana count increased (with the addition of Judge's Familiar).

Now I've messed with the sideboard, adding Assemble the Legion instead of a potential third Elspeth, Sun's Champion, simply because WHY NOT?! It's a one-of, and the CMC is high (just like Elspeth); but if that card resolves on the field, then the clock starts ticking furiously.

I've also added a Maybeboard. Some of these may be decent swap-outs for Judge's Familiar or Keening Apparition, but I won't know until I've tested them. I'm on the lookout for creatures that will help me in a WIDE variety of situations, especially considering the fact that I can buff them later with Ajani, Mentor of Heroes.

I really dig Fleecemane Lion, but worry about the mana cost being strictly green and white (this doesn't give much wiggle room). Dryad Militant makes it difficult for Blue/White to pop an Elixir and get much back since all instants and sorceries are exiled instead of going to the graveyard; but it's easily dealt with by Detention Sphere or board wipes. Nyx-Fleece Ram is a nice fat butt that gains life every turn regardless, and it's a great card to buff later in the game; but with all of the enchantment removal out there, I'm just not sure it would stay on the field long enough to be worth playing. And finally, the fourth creature that really piques my interest (and has for the longest time, seeing as I <3 Dredge decks) is Scavenging Ooze. It's a bear with the ability to, not only exile cards from ANY graveyard (lol Azorius/Esper players), but it also gets FATTER while gaining you LIFE! All for the low-low price of one Forest! This guy may be a keeper.
