This deck is designed to become a bigger and bigger threat as the game goes on, by pumping out tokens and swinging with all the creatures!
THE RUNDOWN:
Creatures:
Akroan Crusader
: Underated heroic ability that gives you haste-ing creatures. Quite fun and makes battalion abilities easier to trigger.
Cavalry Pegasus
: Absolutely necessary card for this deck. Makes every attacking creature that much scarier, as they all are now attacking from the air.
Fabled Hero
: Scary heroic card that can deal with most early game threats.
Anax and Cymede: Really here for the flavor, as I think he's a very situational card, but has won me some games for sure.
Tajic, Blade of the Legion: Again, all the flavor. A 2/2 indestructible body for 4 mana seems pretty efficient to me. Becomes scary when paired with
Cavalry Pegasus
and
Akroan Crusader
.
Aurelia, the Warleader: Most flavorful leader of the boros army - and if successfully played with a large enough field, game winning by itself.
Other spells:
Ethereal Armor: Stupidly good card for an enchantment-heavy heroic deck. "Oh, that
Fabled Hero
is now a 6/6, and I just gained 10 life. Sorry." Which brings me to the next enchantment I run.
Ordeal of Heliod: Incredibly powerful in this deck. Most times, the creature will already have a couple counters on them when being cast, so the ability can be triggered the turn I play it at times. Gain ten life for two mana? Sure.
Coordinated Assault
: Cool card, love the flavor, and I enjoy triggering two different heroics at the same time. :D
THE SIDEBOARD (And other cards I'm considering):
I wanted a heroic based deck despite it's limitations, and I got one. Now I'm working on fine-tuning it to be able to play against not only other aggro decks, but slower control-y type stuff.
Assemble the Legion: Very scary card that only ensures my opponents coming end as turns click away.
Gods Willing
: Is to protect against any sort of control type deck. It might even be good against a fellow aggro deck, as swinging and being able to ensure your creature can't be blocked, is nice. (Triggering heroics with it is a bonus!) Overall solid card that I need to work into the mainboard somehow.
Chained to the Rocks
: Stupidly broken boros control, why would I not want it?
Gift of Immortality: Pretty obnoxious spell that gives the gift that keeps on giving - a heroic creature that I can keep indefinitely on the field.
Spark Trooper
: Only here because of the chance I play one and a Gift of Immortality on it simultaneously. The lawlz I would have swinging for 6 trample lifelink damage every turn. >:D
The cards in the maybeboard need to be worked in the sideboard somehow, I'm still figuring that all out. Haha
