This deck is my Competitive FNM Modern Boros Deck.

It has garnered me a #1, Three Top Threes and, Two Additional Top Fives. It is oriented around several combos that go off and wreck my opponent's board and/or life total at or before turn six, through interesting combinations of battalion attacks. In particular:

Silverblade Paladin+Tajic, Blade of the Legion and anything else.

Akroan Hoplite+Wojek Halberdiers+Skyknight Legionaire+Righteous Charge

Aurelia, the Warleader+Firemane Avenger+any one of my early game attackers.

Important Cards

Creatures

Aurelia, the Warleader: Turn six win con. The second attack step is absolutely brutal and will almost always finish off an opponent without chump blocking up the ass. I don't keep more than one of her because of mana curve and legendaryness, otherwise there would be at least a pair of her.

Tajic, Blade of Legion: An indestructible creature that becomes an obnoxious beater with battalion, paired with Silverblade Paladin I get at least 20 damage going on turn five with battalion, which by itself dramatically alters the game. Another "I don't have more than one and would have more if not for legendary rule".

Silverblade Paladin: Pairs well with virtually anything, as giving two things doublestrike on turn three is ridiculous, I typically pair these bad boys with Akroan Hoplite, Tajic, Blade of the Legion, or Hero of Oxid Ridge.

Firemane Avenger: Flying beater, with living Lightning Helix effect on the side with battalion. When Aurelia hits the dance floor this second ability has the ability to to annihilate the enemy field.

Akroan Hoplite: If not for that two toughness, these guys would be unstoppable, what with the massive amounts of damage they can throw into an attack if they're not alone.

Instants/Sorceries

Aurelia's Fury: Early game annoyance, Mid-Late Game Boardwiper, this card's versatility makes it highly potent at almost any time in the game.

Lightning Helix: I love this card. Two drop lightning bolt+lifegain, can wreck an early blocking attempt, and when sprung at the right time can destroy a really big fatty when in concert with another creature

Martial Glory: Makes something deal more damage, makes something harder to kill.

Righteous Charge: Gives everything +2/+2... for 3. Need I say more?

Sideboard

Razia's Purification: For those who run those atrocious token generation or Elf/Goblin/White Weenie decks, this is my response, in other words, take my magical nuke.

Blaze Commando: This card, if not for specific activation conditions and price would be main board material, this card is devastating with Righteous Charge.

Gleam of Battle: If the game slows down against a particularly opponent, I pop in a gleam of battle to end the stalemate, as my creatures get bigger and bigger and theirs stay the same size.

Gideon, Champion of Justice: Can become a big fat attacking creature or wipe the board. Oftentimes Gideon will soak damage that would otherwise be hitting me, as the constant attacks will harm my defensive abilities.

Assemble the Legion: If the game slows down Assemble the Legion enables me to quickly get some chump blockers for defense, or extra bodies for offense to break a potential stalemate.
