Boros - Feather, the Redeemed

Commander / EDH* RW (Boros)

HunterXDante

I'm on the look out for the most powerful Boros deck one can make so I've turned to Harvey Birdman.

I'm sure all of you immediately saw he had a lot of potential but let me bring you up to speed on all the info I've gathered since the spoiler has been released. First up let me give you a run down on what this deck does. You want card draw you got it, you want to reuse your spells you got it, you want to make over 40 tokens by turn 7 draw 45 cards and then burn everyone to death in a blaze of glory... You got that too. This decks main combo focuses around Comet Storm + Inner Fire but how reliable is that? Through my albiet minimum play testing I've come to the conclusion victory is a very likely turn 7 or 8, which probably isn't really the best for cEDH but hey we have some blue hate so I'm trying. I'd love any advice for upgrades you guys can give me down below. All that's left is to post some some explanations and SYNERGIES.

So the way you want things to go is as follows; Get out Feather, the Redeemed get out one of the two multipliers Zada, Hedron Grinder or Mirrorwing Dragon follow that up with Strength of Arms then into any of your draw spells. Which means you only need one card Sunforger . So how many cards do we have to search for Sunforger ? Only 6, which will be in the tutor section above. I think this has proven to me to be a decent number, though I would be willing to entertain Stonehewer Giant or Taj-Nar Swordsmith but they seem a bit slower to me.

One of the reasons I like this deck so much is that when you don't have all your cards yet, when things aren't going your way, you are still drawing cards, holding protection and playing that sweet ~value game~.

Some things you want to look for are;

You can easily play a hand with one plains if you have a Weathered Wayfarer . I would even be open to Land Tax since this is such a good first turn play. Though the former is only basic lands which is why I decided to go with the Nomad.

Phyrexian Altar and Eerie Interlude are both great spells but there ability to kill off some of your tokens so you don't draw yourself to death can't be over looked.

You can Path to Exile or Chaos Warp the tokens you make with Young Pyromancer or Monastery Mentor for extra freebies. The token generators are otherwise in here mostly to help get Strength In Arms off the ground faster when it hits the field but also because them plus Phyrexian Altar equals free spells.

Pretty much everything else is straight forward. Have fun~
