This was a nice, unexpected suprise.
Round 1 - Naya Slivers
Honestly, I don't know what my opponent was doing this round.
Game 1 - Opp. mulls to 6, keeps a 1-lander, and proceeds to not draw any more lands. He scoops after Madcap Skills on Spike Jester.
Game 2 - Opp keeps 7, and it's good. I kept a rather slow hand, 2 Xathrid Necromancer and a Mogis's Marauder, with a Dreadbore and 3 land. Opp quickly gets out Manaweft Sliver, I Dreadbore, he drops another, and proceeds to play Blur Sliver, Galerider Sliver, Thorncaster Sliver, and Bonescythe Sliver. I die quickly.
Game 3 - Opp keeps 7, with no lands (???). Doesn't draw another (???)

Round 2 - GR Monsters (without devotion)
Game 1 - He plays a Sylvan Caryatid into Boros Reckoner, I Dreadbore the "Wreck"oner. Double Mogis's Marauder ensures his dudes aren't blocking.
Game 2 - Doom Blade takes his T3 Reckoner. 2x Dreadbore eats his fatties. Marauder swings for lethal.

Round 3 - GW Stompy
Game 1 - I mull to five, and he says, "I really don't like winnin' like this, man." before we even play. It was a three-land hand, with no real threats. I died, shamefully.
Game 2 - I mull to 6, keeping an awkward hand of Blood Crypt
, 3x Tormented Hero, Dynacharge, and Xathrid Necromancer. I draw another Dynacharge, but not another land. Or better threats. He landed a Hopeful Eidolon, then Alpha Authority, then 2x Unflinching Courage. I was down to 6 facing a 5/5. I ask him, "Do you have a pump spell?" He rips a land, says, "I do now." Bestows a Boon Satyr. GG.

Round 4 - Esper
Game 1 - All I have written down is that it was a win. Sorry guys.
Game 2 - He plays Jace, Architect of Thought, +1. Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Jace flips over... another Jace, and an Elspeth, Sun's Champion. I lose.
Game 3 - I keep seven. I'm visibly tense. We back-and-forth a little, he Last Breath's, etc. I play a Hammer of Purphoros. Resolves? ...yes. He plays a Blood Baron. I've been holding a Mizzium Mortars for this reason. He keeps +1'ing a Jace, so it keeps him alive. I topdeck a Rakdos's Return, and ask, "What are you at?" "1 life." I had four mana. He either had it or he didn't. I cast it, X=2. Resolves?

2-1, 3-1
Round 5 - Patriot Control
Game 1 - Spike Jester into Spike Jester, ate Detention Sphere. Another Spike Jester. Chained to the Rocks. Rakdos Shred-Freak? Gets there, with the help of Lightning Strike.
Game 2 - All I have is Loss written. Again, sorry about that.
Game 3 - This one is tense. I Tormented Hero into Shred-Freak. He sighs, and Anger of the Gods's. I play out a Spike Jester, with a hand of Lightning Strike and 3 Madcap Skills, two of which I drew. I suit the Jester. Swing. He takes it, then D-Sphere's it. I rip Exava. Play Exava, swing. Take it. He has no answer, so I carefully play one Skills on Exava, then swing. He takes it, goes to two. I hold the burn spell. It's crucial that he not have Sphinx's Revelation in response. End step, he Revelation's. In response?

3rd place, not bad. Fun times to be had. The one maindeck Hammer is neat, I might pick up another for the side. Also, a couple extra bucks credit to pick up a Garruk, Caller of Beasts? I'd take that.
