I thought of at least three different ways to play this deck. Type 1, will be down below. The alternates are: using Evil Presence and Contaminated Ground, with Nighthaze. Maybe using a Blister Grub. Way number 3 is more like an alternate take on 1 and 2. Either adding discard controls like: Despise, Duress, Horrifying Revelation, Inquisition of Kozilek, Mire's Toll, or Perish the Thought; or adding more buff cards like: Bull Rush, Slaughter cry, Thunder Strike, virulent swipe, and maybe even things like: Goblin War Paint, Demonic Appetite, or Nim Deathmantle. There were also ideas of adding Disentomb, and cards similar to it that return the creatures after Fling or Artillerize. Also the debate one what creature destruction cards should be used or how many. Using the black or red Zenith. Grasp of Darkness, Grim Affliction, Grim Discovery, Disfigure, Doom Blade, even Blind Zealot. If I should use Consume the Meek, Pyroclasm, Slagstorm, or Magma Phoenix with a sacrifice for weenie kill. Lastly, should there be bigger creatures like: Moltensteel Dragon or Phyrexian Obliterator; and with these cards especially Moltensteel Dragon, should I use a Pyretic Ritual or Geosurge.
The main idea with this deck is to use Mortis Dogs or Kiln Fiend; pump it up by Vampire's Bite or in the case of Kiln Fiend just using an instant or sorcery spell. Then, use either Assault strobe and swing, or swing deal damage and Fling. Artillerize is just in the deck to give the 1/6 chance of pulling a decent damage combo off. Now, using Dismember, Geth's verdict, and Lightning Bolt to disable blockers, even using Smoldering Spire. You can potentially do 3rd-5th turn kills with a decent probable rate. Shatter is more of a filler due to the rise in artifacts in the current block. The lands are ideally supposed to aid in the speed of the deck, I'm not totally set on them yet.
