Braids, our Lord and Master

Commander / EDH Mono-Blue Tempo

OutsiderOpinion

This deck started out as just something to have fun with. The idea was to use Braids to make everybody have a good time by playing all their most powerful cards, then I would play cards that allowed me to manipulate and control the board and (hopefully) win! The deck is a lot of fun to play, and what's interesting is that their doesn't seem to be much it can't handle. The deck is a slugger. It hits hard, can take hits and keep coming, and it never seems to run out of steam. The deck works by introducing a new set of rules different from how the game is normally played (you can play stuff for free). It then takes advantage of these rules to play big stuff without needing to rush, and strikes when it senses weakness. Everybody gets great stuff but nobody is allowed to have better stuff than me. If someone pulls ahead, you piggy-back off them with clones, or just outright rob them with something like Commandeer or Cultural Exchange . If the rest fall behind, there's easily enough power in the deck's board advantage suite to just run over them. In the late-game board stall, the deck has a nice removal suite to ensure it won't lose to combos, and a could set of big threats like Blightsteel Colossus and Clone Legion to clutch out the game. Ain't she something?
