Recently I saw a similar idea in a UW shell and thought this could be done in a BR Reanimator style.
It's pretty similar to a BR Reanimator deck, except that this one is trying to reanimate enchantments in order to create a prison (effective against most decks).
There are 3 ways to cast Resurgent Belief:
Both finale of promise as well as Electrodominance are interesting cards. One can recast a discard spell or graveyard tutor while the other can allow you to cast Thoughtseize/Collective Brutality in the opponent's draw-step.
Entomb is a card to keep an eye for since it can tutor something in response to Resurgent Belief's last counter being removed.
The prison means to lock the opponent out of the combat step. This happens due to Form of the Dragon preventing creatures WITHOUT flying from attacking along with the effect of Sandwurm Convergence preventing creatures WITH flying from attacking OR Overwhelming Splendor REMOVING flying from the opponent's creatures.
Luckily, the enchantments that make the prison also serve as win conditions. Form of the Dragon is a 4-turn clock on itself and Sandwurm Convergence makes 5/5 tokens every turn.
The deck has 3 weaknesses worth noting:
- Form of the Dragon setting the life down to 5 which makes it within range for 2 Lightning Bolts!
- succeptible to noninteractive combos like Storm
- relies on the graveyard to function
Overall, I still think this is a strong strategy. Perhaps not THE strongest strategy, but enough to put up a fight with many decks.
Other thoughts
Considering divinde intervention to force the game to a draw on matchups you can't win.
Omniscience is also within the realm of possibility, but it doesn't immediately impact the game.
Cruel Reality may be interesting.
