INTRODUCTION:
After several attempts to make B/W constellation a thing, I decided to look towards another color in order to make constellation a viable option. Green and black are by far the best colors for this strategy, maybe even in the entire format. So I meshed together this list which combines two different elements of consistency and explosiveness thanks to a couple of new cards from Fate Reforged, while also attacking at different angles with cards in my graveyard.
THE BARE BRIGHT NECESSITIES (the core of the deck):
Satyr Wayfinder--The little satyr that could helps me find lands and also fuel my graveyard for future use.
Courser of Kruphix--Probably the best green creature in Standard right now in terms of utility and power level. Scry lands and fetch lands are just the actual best with him on the battlefield. Plus he's an enchantment!
Frontier Siege--One of the best out of the siege cycle, this card adds much more oomph to my turns, allowing me to plop down multiple enchantments per turn much sooner than I otherwise could. Also this plus flying hornet things is just brutal.
Eidolon of Blossoms--The main reason to play a constellation deck. It replaces itself the turn it comes in and provides massive card advantage if left unchecked.
Whip of Erebos--The only real reanimator card in this format, the whip allows me to apply pressure from my graveyard by bringing back bees, trees, and other assorted cards that somehow rhyme with bees and trees.
Doomwake Giant--Instrumental for winning against aggro and token decks, and with the right cards it can overwhelm any board.
THE SUPPORTING CAST (other cards):
Brain Maggot--Me and Brain Maggot go quite a while back, basically ever since Journey Into Nyx came out. An enchantment form of Tidehollow Sculler is pretty sweet; it gives me a semi-valid excuse to not play Thoughtseize instead other than for the safety of my bank account.
Pharika, God of Affliction--Another way to use the graveyard to its full potential. Considering the deck relies on having a good board presence anyway, it's not uncommon to see her as a creature. Did I mention her snakes are enchantments?
Extinguish All Hope--Having a maindeck board wipe of some kind is crucial in a format in which green midrange decks like this one thrive. This card will usually be a cheaper Plague Wind but can easily be swapped out for something more efficient.
Hornet Queen--Your opponent if they have no way to deal with this: "No, the bees! Not the BEESS!! AAAAAHH-"
Hero's Downfall--Kinda goes along the same lines as courser. Most black decks will want to play this card.
Murderous Cut--The satyr helps a lot to fuel this card to make it as cheap as possible. Yet another way I can use the grave to my benefit.
SIDEBOARD:
Bile Blight--Good token removal is good.
Drown in Sorrow--This deck doesn't have very much early defense in game 1. Mono red decks kinda run over me, and Jeskai Token decks are also a little rough if they keep an explosive hand.
Reclamation Sage--This card comes in against every deck that relies on specific enchantments in order to start rolling (which just so happens to be almost all of them).
Duress--This and Brain Maggot can really do some work against control decks. Can't control anything without any nonland cards in your hand, now can ya?
Read the Bones--This card gets sided in against pretty much any deck that likes to go slow. It's a sweet topdeck if you've got nothing else to get yourself back in the game.
Self-Inflicted Wound--Dragonlord Ojutai and Fleecemane Lion can go kill themselves. Quite literally.
And then more hero's downfalls in case I would rather be able to kill big creatures or planeswalkers.
Let me know what you think of the deck! Any constructive criticism is appreciated!
