Trying that whole batman deck thing, Focused around the Brooding Commander Arvad that is a vampire(bat) and knight(dark knight), giving his bat family (and his rogue's gallery) +2/+2. Tried to keep the deck somewhat usable at a real table as well. Somewhat.
Gonna try to explain every single choice in no order whatsoever so bare with me.
Always Watching- Vigilance for a Vigilante that is always watching over the city
Underworld Connections- More for the Villain part of the deck, keeping connected to the underworld
Blinding Powder- Utility Belt Powder!
Single Combat- Batman vs Villain 1v1
Steelshaper's Gift/Open the Armory- Always has what item he needs
Crush Contraband- Contraband on batman's watch? nice try
Teferi's Protection- Batman's Protection
Swords to Plowshares- Disarming Villains
Haunted Cloak- Cape
Mask of Memory/Avacyn- Mask
Rogue's Gloves- Gloves
All that Glitters- Batman is RICH
Smothering Tithe- RICH
Gift of Estates- REALLY RICH
Sword of Truth and Justice- Batman doesn't use weapons but he lives by truth and justice. Justification is that this is Azrael's Sword.
Shining Armor- Batman might not shine but the armor does what actual armor does and equips to batman for free
Assault Suit- Only equipment that actually used the word suit and I call his costume a 'suit.' Plus Batman is now always active, he never sleeps.
Prison Term- Arrest the Enemies
Commander Eesha- Robin, pro creatures=nimble, and a bird creature type
Hixus, Prison Warden- Commissioner Gordon, arrests people.
Tivadar of Thorn- Red Hood, like look at that mask! Always kills things which red hood does that batman does not like.
Tomik, Distinguished Advokist- Alfred, an Advisor creature type and an advisor to batman
Rankle, Master of Pranks- Joker! Master of Pranks
Massacre Girl- Harley Quinn
Obzedat, Ghost Council- Council of Owls
Gonti, Lord of Luxury- Penguin. I know its not a bird but penguin is RICH.
Mirri the Cursed- Cat-woman. Cat creature type and quick with first strike and haste.
Greel, Mind Raker- Riddler. Riddles Rake the mind right?
Haakon, Stromgald Scourge- Solomon Grundy. A large buff zombie that doesn't die.
Tetzimoc, Primal Death- Poison Ivy. Ok this one is a bit of a stretch but Primal=Nature kind of and the counters you put on creatures are like poison ivy using her control love potions and poison.
Commander Greven il-Vec- Scarecrow. It was the only legend I could find with the keyword fear.
Lum-Dul the necromancer- Ra's al Ghul. Using the Lazarus pits to revive people. And their names kinda ring a similar bell. I really liked this one.
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben- Batwoman
Selenia, Dark Angel- Talia al Ghul. They gave me a similar vibe. Also Catwoman's name is Selina, which is pretty close to selenia so double meaning card.
Yargle, Glutton of Urborg- Bane. Bane is big. Yargle is big.
Kunoros, Hound of Athreos- Ace the Bat-Hound. Yes batman has a bat-hound.
Adventuring Gear- Some more Gear
Night Terrors- Batman is the Terror of the night to any villains.
Captured by the Consulate- Some more arresting
Prison Realm- More Prisons
Oubliette- PRISON
Gemstone Caverns- Batcave. Also Batman is always 1 step ahead like Gemstone Caverns can be.
Weatherlight- Watch Tower. Batman is still in the justice league.
Chariot of Victory- This is his batmobile instead of a vehicle because i wanted to be able to fetch it with the equipment tutors.
Eiganjo Castle- Batman's Mansion. Where he can rest and 'heal' up.
Shizo, Death's Storehouse- Villain's Storehouse.
Mikokoro, Center of the Sea- Batman visits superman. Fortress of Solitude.
Detection Tower- Police Towers(?)
Glaring Spotlight- Bat Signal. I stole this idea from Magic Arcanum 100% so total credit to them for this card. Go Check them Out.
Orzhov Cluestone- Ramp! That has the word Clue in it! Batman is a detective.
Expose Evil- Investigate and Exposeing Evil? Perfect
Humble the Brute- I didn't want any destroy effects unless it was a villain doing it but this card name and effect was way too perfect to not put in.
Survive the Night- Gotta Survive the Night to be Batman. Also more investigate
Mind Stone- He's Smart and I really wanted more ramp.
Isolated Chapel- Batman always feels like he is Isolated.
Heliod, God of the Sun- Superman. Him and Batman are really close friends and Superman gets his power from the Sun and is Indestructible.
Grappling Hook- He always has one of these.
Odric, Master Tactician- Bruce Wayne. Yes his secret identity is in the deck. and he is a master tactician.
God-Eternal Bontu- Killer Croc, the legendary has a crocodile head and a human body thats about the closest you can get to looking like killer croc
Danitha Capashen, Paragon- Azrael, I told you his sword was in this deck so he had to be too.
Kuon, Ogre Ascendant / Kuon's Essence- Two-Face. This or liliana was the closest I could get to a flip card, but this one seemed more Two-Faced.
Sol Ring- You are telling me the man prepared for everything wouldnt have the best mana rock in his belt?
Arcane Signet- This is his bat symbol. His Bat Signet.
The Immortal Sun- He is prepared for everything, including planeswalkers.
The Circle of Loyalty- This is his circle of friends and batfamily in the form of a 1 card.
Flawless Maneuver- Perfect Plan, and saves people. And free if batman is out!
Bastion of Remembrance- This is the police station. 1 on the beat cop trying to help batman out the best he can.
