A cheap way to play standard with the Abzan Lifegain shell featuring Felidar Sovereign back in standard.

I was taken aback at how effective Jaddi Offshoot and Retreat to Kazandu are at gaining you life, especially off things like Evolving Wilds and Blighted Woodland. Combine these with the ever so present Siege Rhino, Arashin Cleric, and some Feed the Clans, and you'll be easily hitting that 40 life mark even while taking some beats.

The deck can function just fine as a midgame beatdown as well, using the lifegain as a tool to stall the opponent's aggression and make attacks not feel profitable. Drag it out til you hit Felidar Sovereign or even Dragonlord Dromoka. Sideboard those Duress's aggressively against control matchups though, or you'll be out of gas real soon.
