Abzan is the deck that used to be considered the bully of the Standard. But since its rotation out of the format, it has found a new home in Modern. The basic idea of the deck is to deal out small bursts of damage early with Bloodsoaked Champion and Fleecemane Lion. Then try to ramp into Siege Rhino which you can furthermore buff with your Anafenza, the Foremost, all the while bombarding them with your Mardu Strike Leader. Removal comes in the form of Silence the Believers , Abzan Charm, and Dismember. Duress and Distress are there as preventative measurements in case they have a planeswalker or a some crazy creature. Both Loxodon Smiter and Lingering Souls are there as enforcers to offset an opponents strategy. If you do come across someone with a deck heavy on removal, then you have Ever After as a sort of "second chance".The mana base can be improved but remember that this is a budget build, Not some top tier deck that you'd see in a Grand Prix Top 8. Nonetheless, this deck's strategy is mainly to have a lot of good cards like Siege Rhino and Anafenza, the Foremost that eventually overpower your opponent.
