Budget Oathbreaker

In true Jeskai fashion, this deck walks a very fine line between aggro and control. Small but aggressive creatures like Tenth District Legionnaire and Sprite Dragon benefit from combat tricks like Angelfire Ignition and Triton Tactics while the path is made clear by removal in many forms. Our synergy pieces start to shine upon entering the long game, producing creature tokens (General Ferrous Rokiric), generating card advantage (Mavinda, Students' Advocate), or punching through with direct damage (Balefire Liege). There is a +1/+1 counter element to many of our combat tricks, which synergizes further with proliferate. I've found that our commander Narset of the Ancient Way's emblem is more valuable to us than her prolonged presence on the field, so don't feel bad about losing her to the ult. If 5 mana is available to us, playing Narset can be followed up by our signature spell Snap, allowing us to push out one last 2 drop like Show of Confidence or Serum Snare. Last bit of advice: never trade your creatures. There's a bit of life gain naturally built into the deck, so fully capitalize on the crack back!
