This is a 100% pauper merfolk homebrew - (you can see thx the much too big maybe board xD)

I wanted to find a home for my favourite magic card: Triton Shorestalker . - Love this card for it's flavor:

"Who will miss you, drywalker? A wife? A child? Perhaps they will blame the sea for your fate, and teach futur generations to stay far away from it."

Soo, where can this fishy guy find a home? Nowwhere else, than in pauper, I gues. (EDH canot give him the attention I want.)

Soooo here we go .. erm swimm...

Since we evade by unblockable or flying this deck does not need Spreading Seas but it can stay as land color screw in the sideboard. More important is to protect our fish with Counterspell s or else. The Totemarmor might be the better Aura, because it also helps during an Aoe.

Sideboard:

Here we go rainbow style (because I dont like keeping mana unused for Counterspell s). This deck can go the simic ( Giant Growth Rancor Mutagenic Growth ) or izzet ( Lightning Bolt ) style, as long as it plays Reef Shaman for instant speed colorfix. Tideshaper Mystic can backup. Even a Pacifism would be possible to face a Gurmag Angler . I also thought about destroy spells but those dont kill black.
