The purpose of every card in this deck can be divided into one of 3 categories.

Control

Pretty much all of the control is single creature removal with a few exceptions. The first is Wall of Frost . It's great card due to it's ability to keep a unit tapped for an extra turn. The last non removal control card is Profane Memento which, once we start milling can keep us alive until we finish.

Draw

Draw has two purposes in this deck, to trigger Sphinx's Tutelage and to obtain more Sphinx's Tutelage .

Win-Con

The real heart of this deck is Sphinx's Tutelage . When played with a Dark Deal on a full hand can equal massive milling and life gain when combined with Profane Memento

Overall the goal of this deck is to just barley survive until it can pull a big milling combo.
