Hello,

I am new to the game and am looking for an entry point into Modern. Currently I own 4 Celestial Colonnade (from when I messed around with magic in 2012) so I thought that U/W would be a good entry point.

My plan is to start out with a fairly budget U/W deck and transition into a more expensive as i go by taking out

4x Azorius Charm
2x Detention Sphere
4x Think Twice
1x Gideon Jura
1x Jace, Architect of Thought
1x White Sun's Zenith
1x Mana Leak

And putting in

3x Serum Visions
4x Cryptic Command
4x Snapcaster Mage
3x Restoration Angel

Then after I've done this I will evaluate where I am at and decide if I want to transition into a jeskai control variant using cards like this

3x Lightning Bolt
1x Lightning Helix
4x Electrolyze

The cards I plan to acquire are in the maybe board. Any advice on what to acquire or not to acquire would be good. As I'm sure you can tell I need help with this pretty badly. The budget build in particular could use a lot of work. I've tried to work with what will make it relatively cheap as it is simply not an option to buy things such as Snapcaster Mage and Cryptic Command at this stage.

I'm also fairly lost as to what I should do for the side board so any help there is appreciated.
