I'm not sure why Sagu Mauler hasn't gotten more attention. A 6/6 trampler that's impervious to almost all forms of removal in the format is pretty decent (really, only End Hostilities and Crackling Doom hit him).

This deck is built around producing big threats that are difficult for your opponent to deal with. It features some mana ramp with Sylvan Caryatid and Elvish Mystic to help get to an early Sagu Mauler or Reaper of the Wilds. Against other midrange courser-caryatid decks, the deck preforms very well, dodging most of their removal. Against aggro decks, we can shift to a more controlling strategy, using Drown in Sorrow and Bile Blight to control their early game threats until we stabilize. I'm not sure how the deck fairs against purer control decks, which don't seem to be too prevalent in the format currently.

Suggestions are more than welcome, as are +1s. This deck is very much a work in progress, still.

A quick note about Rattleclaw Mystic...it's undoubtedly a good card, but I prefer caryatid in the two-drop slot because it allows for black mana-fixing (which I need those BB cards like Bile Blight and Hero's Downfall) and isn't hit by Drown in Sorrow.
